Andrographis paniculata (Burm. f.) Nees, a 1-year-old herb of the Acanthaceae family, is a whole-grass extract of Andrographis paniculata (Burm. f.), which mainly contains lactones and flavonoids. The lactone components mainly include andrographolide, neoandrographolide, deoxyandrographolide, dehydrated andrographolide, andrographolide glycoside, etc. It has antipyretic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-tumor, liver protection, cholagogic, inhibition of platelet aggregation and anti-thrombosis, it can resist snake venom and improve immune function.
It contains several kinds of lipids and flavonoids. The lactones mainly include deoxyandrographolide, andrographolide, neoandrographolide and dehydroandrographolide. Flavonoids are mainly methoxyflavones. It also contains sterol saponins, sugars, condensed tannins and other phenolic substances.
1. Andrographolide: andrographolide B, molecular formula C20H30O5, molecular weight 350.44. Colorless square or rectangular crystal with bitter taste. Mp.230 ℃~231 ℃, easily soluble in acetone, methanol and ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform and ether, and insoluble in water, petroleum ether and benzene.
2. New andrographolide: Synonymous andrographolide C, andrographolide. Molecular formula C26H40O8, molecular weight 480.58. Colorless columnar crystal, no bitter taste, mp.167 ℃~168 ℃. It is easily soluble in methanol, ethanol and acetone, slightly soluble in water, but less soluble in benzene, ether and chloroform.
3. Deoxyandrographolide: Synonymous andrographolide A. Molecular formula C20H30O4, molecular weight 334.44. Colorless flake (acetone, ethanol or chloroform) or colorless needle crystal (ethyl acetate), mp.174 ℃~175 ℃, soluble in methanol, ethanol, propanol, chloroform, soluble in benzene and ether.
4. Dehydrated andrographolide: molecular formula C20H28O4, molecular weight 332.42. Colorless acicular crystal (30% or 50% ethanol), mp.204 ℃, soluble in ethanol, acetone, chloroform, slightly soluble in benzene, almost insoluble in water.
Andrographis paniculata (Burm. f.) Nees is the whole plant or leaf of Andrographis paniculata (Burm. f.) Nees. It has the functions of clearing heat and detoxicating, diminishing inflammation, reducing swelling and relieving pain. It is mainly used to treat bacterial dysentery, urinary tract infection, acute tonsillitis, enteritis, pharyngitis, pneumonia and influenza, and can be used externally to treat boils, boils, swollen toxins, traumatic infections, etc. It is mainly produced in Guangdong, Fujian and other provinces, and also introduced in central, north and northwest China.
