Carrier Oil for Clove Oil description

Clove, also known as Syzygium aromaticum, belongs to the myrtle family and is an evergreen tree. The usable parts are the dried flower buds, stems and leaves. The flower buds are distilled using water-distillation to obtain clove oil with an oil yield of 15% to 18%; clove buds are yellow and sometimes sticky; it has a characteristic aroma of medicine, wood, spices and eugenol. Clove stem oil can be obtained by water steam distillation with an oil yield of 4%~6%; clove stem oil is yellow to light brown liquid and dark purple-brown when in contact with iron; it has a characteristic aroma of spice and clove phenol.

1. It is mainly used for ham, sausage, broth, chewing gum, chocolate pudding, cakes, marinades, sauces, desserts and condiments. It can also be used for cooking condiments, pickles and pastries.

2. It is an important natural spice and medicine. It is widely used in daily chemical, food, tobacco, alcohol and other industries, and is often used as analgesic, windproof, antiseptic and disinfectant. It can also be used to extract eugenol and synthesize a variety of fragrances, such as isoeugenol and benzyl isoeugenol.

3. In medicine, it is used for sterilization and oral disinfection. In industry, it is mainly used in the preparation of toothpaste and soap flavoring, or as raw material for synthetic vanillin. It can also be used as an immunomodulator and anti-inflammatory drug.
