Echinacea extract is a product extracted from Echinacea purpurea, which is light yellow or yellow-green fine powder. The main components are phenolic compounds, and also contain a variety of alkyl amines, flavonoids, polysaccharides and a small amount of volatile oil. It has antibacterial, antiviral and immune function. It can be used as immune regulator and immune stimulator. It has antiviral, antifungal, anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects. It can stimulate the immune response, strengthen the immune system, prevent influenza, shorten the period of colds and colds, assist in the treatment of arthritis or skin diseases, promote wound healing, relieve toothache and burn pain, combat bacterial and viral infection, and assist in the treatment of cancer.
1. Echinacea purpurea extract plays a role by increasing the number of granulocytes and leukocytes, and improves the chemotaxis of monocytes and neutral viruses.
2. Echinacea Purpurea Extract can inhibit influenza, herpes and blister virus. The antiviral activity is due to the inhibition of hyaluronidase, which can block the virus receptor on the cell surface.
Echinacea purpurea and its extract are used for common infection or trauma, cold or flu, candidiasis, candida laryngitis, staphylococcal infection, urethral infection, pelvic inflammation (P.I.D), tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infection, wound inflammation, toothache or oral infection, mosquito, animal or venomous snake bites, blood or food poisoning, boils, abscess, eczema.
Beat the raw medicinal materials into coarse powder, and reflux with 70% ethanol for extraction. The ethanol extract is sucked into the vacuum concentration tank, and the ethanol is recovered to about 1/4 of the original volume (the recovered solution also contains 15%~20% ethanol). The centrifugal solution is obtained through centrifugation, and is reduced to 15 ± 5 Baume (thermal measurement). A proper amount of auxiliary materials are added. After mixing, spray drying, sieving, mixing, and packaging are completed. The yield of the product produced by this process is 24%~25%, and the content of cichoric acid is about 4%, which is suitable for the production of Echinacea purpurea extract containing 4% cichoric acid.
