Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose acetate succinate product description

Hypromellose acetate succinate is a mixed ester of acetic acid and succinic acid of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), which can dissolve well in acetone, ethanol-dichloromethane, acetone-ethanol-water and other solvents.

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose hypromellose function and application

1. As an enteric coating material, it is characterized by good film formation, no plasticizer, and good solubility in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). Hypromellose acetate succinate has its own characteristics for increasing the absorption of drugs in small intestine.

2. In addition to enteric coating, Hypromellose acetate succinate can also be used as polymer carriers, microcapsules and microspheres for drug preparation and slow-release agents for drugs, etc.
