Puerarin description

Puerarin, also known as puerarin flavone, is a natural isoflavone carbon glycoside, and is the key component of puerarin to exert its efficacy. Puerarin has the effects of reducing blood sugar, regulating blood lipid, protecting blood vessels, anti oxidative stress, anti infection, improving insulin sensitivity index, and has fewer adverse reactions. It is known as "phytoestrogen" and is clinically used to treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, cancer, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and diabetes complications.

Puerarin pharmacological action

Puerarin can eliminate free radicals in the body to varying degrees, reduce lipid peroxidation damage, and improve the activities of antioxidant enzymes in the body, such as SOD, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase.

Puerarin can improve immunity, improve microcirculation, expand blood vessels, increase coronary flow, reduce blood pressure, slow heart rhythm and reduce myocardial oxygen consumption without obvious negative myodynamia. It also has the effects of antithrombotic, improving high-density lipoprotein, anti-vasospasm and reducing platelet aggregation.

Puerarin function and application

1. Puerarin contains saponins, which can protect liver tissue from immune damage.

2. Puerarin can obviously promote the brain circulation and peripheral circulation of animals and human body.

3. Puerarin can inhibit the occurrence of cancer cells; it can be used to treat cerebral thrombosis and cerebral infarction.
