Myrrh Essential Oil Description

Myrrh oil is a kind of essential oil, which is colorless to yellow viscous liquid and has the smell of burnt wood. It is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and ether. After being treated with bromine gas, it is turbid, red and purple. The main ingredients are dill aldehyde, m-cresol, eugenol, cinnamaldehyde, pine, ramie, sesquiterpene, palmitic acid, etc.

Myrrh Essential Oil Synthetic Method

It is obtained by steam distillation of myrrh oleoresin resin obtained from certain species of myrrh in the olive family. The yield is 3%~8%. It is mainly produced in Ethiopia, Somalia and the United States.

Myrrh Essential Oil Function and Application

1. Myrrh essential oil is antiseptic and disinfectant, inhibits skin inflammation, is effective for facial blistering eczema, and is very beneficial for gum treatment, healing mouth ulcers or gum problems quickly. Add 2ml of myrrh essential oil and 2ml of frankincense essential oil to 10ml of jojoba oil and massage into inflamed skin.

2. Myrrh essential oil moisturizes dry, cracked skin and frostbitten skin. It is ideal for use in winter. For a fragrance-free base cream, add myrrh essential oil in the ratio of 2 drops of essential oil per 10 grams of cream, mix well and use.

Method: 10ml of unscented base cream + 2 drops of myrrh essential oil + 2 drops of frankincense essential oil, mix well and use in the morning and evening.
