Stearic acid is made by combining magnesium and stearic acid. It is a mixture of magnesium stearate and magnesium palmitate as the main components. According to the calculation of dried products, the Mg content should be 4.0%~5.0%. Stearic acid is insoluble in water, ethanol or ether.
1. Stearic acid is widely used in cosmetics, plastic plasticizers, mold release agents, stabilizers, surfactants, rubber vulcanization accelerators, water repellents, polishing agents, metal soaps, metal mineral flotation agents, softeners, pharmaceuticals and other organic chemicals.
2. Stearic acid can also be used as solvent of oil-soluble pigment, crayon adjusting slip agent, wax paper polishing agent, emulsifier of stearic acid glycerol, etc.
3. Stearic acid has become a functional additive for lubrication, plasticization and stabilization of filled modified masterbatch.
