Vitamin K1 description

Vitamin K1, also known as plant menadione, chlorophyllin menadione, chlorophyllin quinone, and its chemical name is 2-methyl-3-phytol-1,4-naphthoquinone. It is a polycyclic aromatic ketone and a fat soluble vitamin, which is stable to air and humidity, but it will be decomposed in the sun. It widely exists in natural green plants.

Vitamin K1 is a kind of vitamin drug, which is necessary for liver synthesis factors II, VII, IX and X. Vitamin K1 injection is a variety of the National Essential Drug Catalog (2009), which is mainly used for the treatment of various hemorrhagic diseases caused by vitamin K deficiency. In December 2011, the State Food and Drug Administration reported that vitamin K1 injection had an allergy risk.

Vitamin K1 function and application

1. Vitamin K1 contributes to glucose phosphorylation in cells, improves the absorption and utilization of sugar and calcium by the body, and contributes to the metabolism of calcium in bones. Therefore, vitamin K can effectively prevent and treat osteoporosis.

2. Vitamin K1 is a nutrient that coagulates blood. It is absorbed by the intestines and produces coagulation in the liver. It plays an important role in blood coagulation, energy metabolism and the activities of body tissues.

Vitamin K1 indication

Vitamin K1 is an essential substance for the synthesis of prothrombin in the liver. When it is deficient, it can cause coagulation disorders. When prothrombin is deficient in the blood, the coagulation of the blood will be delayed. At this time, supplement of appropriate amount of vitamin K1 can promote the liver to synthesize prothrombin and play a role in hemostasis. As a pharmaceutical preparation, vitamin K1 is used in clinical practice in the prevention and treatment of thrombocytopenia, vitamin K1 deficiency, neonatal spontaneous hemorrhage, hemorrhage caused by obstructive jaundice, biliary fistula, chronic diarrhea, etc., and hypothrombin caused by coumarins, sodium salicylate, etc. Vitamin also has the effect of relieving pain and bronchial spasm, and has obvious effect on colic caused by visceral smooth muscle cramp, bile duct spasm and intestinal spasm. Vitamin K1 can also be used as an additive in multi-dimensional food and livestock feed.
